welcome to my blog
Mood:  happy

Welcome to my blog, please feel free to ask any questions you may have about our horses, training, or our ranch here in southern California.....

I'll give you all a little update on what our current horses are doing in their training programs.....

Holiday is working very well with Glenn and will start his campaign reining in April with 2 shows at Del Mar, one AQHA and one NRHA...we'll find out what we have when he goes to show him. His spins have improved alot and he's already a big stopper and a great circler. Glenn has worked this horse himself and does additional lessons with Gary Roberts.

I am curently riding Lefty and he is really coming along nicely. He is starting to really round his back and use his hind end correctly at all 3 gaits. He is a really smart guy and sometimes gets himself thinking to fast, but you can't be to critical on a horse that is really trying to figure it out and ends up being a bit of an over acheiver! Lefty is also adding some street miles to his resume and has been very brave and calm on his adventures.

Our 2 3YOs Amos and Headlite are being worked 3 or 4 days a week and are both coming along. Amos is well started under saddle and has been relaxed and happy about his work. He's very easy which is the way it should be. Headlite we havn't worked as much but he is now saddled and basically rady to ride. He needs a bit of time to grow up but is going to be super nice in the end.

Please post and we'll get some threads going.

Thanks.....hopefully I'll have enough time to keep up with the blog, I think it'll be interesting to see what kind of response I get and what the topics will be about...

I have a three year old filly I am riding who grinds her teeth.   Her teeth were just floated two weeks ago and she still persists.   What do you think could be the problem?

Mr Myler of Myler bits was on TV last night and he said that most horses are evading pressure on their tongues more so then their lips or bars...perhaps a comfort fit or a ported snaffle might help her out...??
Mr Myler also said you can email him questions and they will answer.. so maybe asking the guru would be appropiate...
